SURFERS RETREATS & ACTIVITIES

Discover and learn about the life long endeavor of surfing.  My HI Surf Retreats expand on the basics with physical training, weather and surf forecasting tips, how to be safe in the ocean and advance surf instruction.  Learn about historical and Hawaiian cultural aspects of surfing.  Take it to the next level with one-on-one mentoring that leads to a lifelong relationship with the ocean.

Our retreats and workshops focus on the fundamentals of surfing, SUP, and equipment design/function by blending the traditions of Polynesian culture and history with modern surfboard dynamics to show the continuum that exists through the surfboard shapers.  Each student will learn hands on skills with modern science and technology to properly read the coastlines and surf. Mountain walks and waterfall hikes support the traditions that extend from mauka to makai, mountain to sea, identifying native plants and sharing about their medicinal uses while telling stories about geological features seen along the way.

Each day is packed with beautiful experiences that fill the heart and satisfy your soul.  Starting with an early morning surf with The Surf Professor followed by lunch and then guided nature walks, mythology of the Hawaiian landscape, and ending with beautiful journaling and reflective time, even a campfire, weather permitting!  The entire retreat is filled with wonderful company, good eats, and beautiful scenery to free the mind and inspire the soul to greatness--we are surfers, come ride with me!
